The screen was designed to allow the client to divide a large entrance room of a Victorian house into separate spaces without the need to build a permanent wall.

The client had a number of Tasmanian Blackwood planks from his father that had been stored unused for many years which formed the frame of the screen. The infill panels were made from Brushbox which matched the parquetry flooring of the client’s house.

The screen is inspired by the work of the late Neville Selleck .
